{Mixed Media Kids Art}

We had some fun painting at home the other day and I was looking for a way to make the project something special. After a quick search on Pinterest I found something easy and fun to use as an inspiration for our project. 

We started by finger painting on a nice thick matte photo paper (I use Staples brand). 

Then we snapped a couple of cute pictures outside.

I cropped and outlined the pictures in Adobe Illustrator. Then asked the kids a few questions about their favorite things and Voila! A unique project that is made up of finger painting + current picture + favorite things makes for some mixed media awesomeness that can displayed at home for the kiddos to be proud of!
